My cartoon of The Fight to Vote
In room 8 for reading we had to read an article called The Fight To Vote. There was a cartoon on it then we had to make a one of our own one that had a meaning. I did a lady and man shaking hands as a showing of equality. By the way I did not trace this.

A Rainy Day
In writing Miss Hudson my teacher put up 4 photos on the whiteboard and we had to choose one then describe it from there perspective or your perspective. I did it as my perspective so I pretended to be the person in the picture. We are still learning to describe.

Moment in time.
In writing we are learning to describe so we had to write a moment in time about our favourite time. You have to include adjectives, verbs, onomatopoeia and 5 scenes when you write a moment in time. I did mine on when I was scared of penguins. (I still am) I hope you like it.

The future of food.
In Pcs we got to use 3D printers so for reading this week we had to study about them we found out that they would be printing food that people could eat. I thought that it was sort of a bad idea because making your own cake or food would be easy you could just bake it yourself or buy food. Please tell me what you think.

What am I?
What am I?
My body has splats of spots, and a soft nose that is ever so round. I live on a farm that is where I am found. I juicy velvety corn and tasty round like soybeans. I make a cute thundery loud noise I lay around in the sun playing with cool oozy gooey lazing around
What am I?
I am the colour of bleach green I have scales. A terribly fierce cross-eyed animal is what I am like. In a deadly silent swamp is when I am found. I make a thundering croak like sound. I eat revolting large fish and furry animals. I am an ever so lazy animal but when I hunt what out I’ll be around.
What may I be?
I am the color of ebony black and have a hint of fur that is white as falling snow. In the majestic mysterious forest I am found or in a pitch black den. Deadly fanged snakes and silver scaled fish is what can consume in a bite. I make a blood curdling sound. I am fierce and ever so high tempered but soon I will not be around for I am endangered.

In room 8 we are focusing on learning how to describe things, since we went to the zoo a couple of weeks of go we had to pick 3 animals that we saw and do 3 what am I paragraph. If you write a What am I you must remember to include adjectives, rhyming words, look, sound, Habitat/Lives, Characteristics and Eats.

Money Flowchart.
In room 8 we were learning about financial Literacy so we had to make a money flowchart of how we think where money goes to. This is what I thought money went to. You get payed by your boss then you spend it the money goes to the cash register then a bank person takes the money which goes to the bank who give it to people who need it then it starts again.
Auckland Zoo Elephants Poster.
In our school we got to go to the Zoo because our topic is Land, Sea and Sky. So we had to make an advertisement for the zoo. I made a poster and put how the Auckland zoo supports/helps Asian Elephants.

Asian Elephant Profile.
Since we are going to the Auckland Zoo we did some research on Asian Elephants and make a profile about them. I learnt that they can consume 300 pounds of food a day and they are endangered. I hope you learn something new like I did.
Dear Diary.
In Room 8 for reading we had to do some exploring about Anjalee an Elephant in Auckland Zoo we had to watch this video LINK TO VIDEO and write a diary from Anjalee's perspective. We were learning about her because we will be going to the Auckland zoo on Thursday for our topic Land, Sea and Sky. I learnt that Anjalee had been transported from Sri Lanka to New Zealand for Six months.

How wolves changed rivers.

You may think that wolves are scary but they're not they can help. The wolves in yellowstone national park helped rivers, animals and many more.
Ever since the wolves came back there were less deers because the wolves changed the behavior so they hid, therefore there were more plants because deers ate plants therefore animals started to come back.
When the wolves didn’t come 60 years ago animals that kill other animals were gone. Therefore when wolves were introduced they killed coyotes so bevers came back and because beavers built dams therefore more animals came back to the park.
When the beavers came back it led to change in the behaviour of the rivers there were less erosions because the beavers built dams so the soil was pushed out of the rivers therefore there were less erosions.
So that is how wolves helped which leads to life and nature back to the park because even though they are scary they can make a good change therefore animals will be happy once again.
In room 8 we learnt how to write an explanation writing. We wrote how wolves changed rivers. I learnt when you make an explanation writing you must include cause and effect words and Technical words. I enjoyed writing it. I hope try writing an explanation writing and you enjoy it to.
